Operation PARRIS Targets Fraudulent Refugee Applications in Minnesota
WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have launched Operation PARRIS in Minnesota, a comprehensive initiative reexamining thousands of refugee cases through new background checks and intensive verification of refugee claims. They are now referring cases of fraud and other crimes to the appropriate authorities.
