SEATTLE – Under the guidance of the South Korean entertainment company MODHAUS, idntt is a new group striving to reshape the K-pop industry.

Similar to tripleS, a girl group with a parallel format, fans actively participate in voting to select song themes, concepts, and even the lineups for the sub-units.
The group’s first sub-unit, named unevermet, debuted last August, followed by yesweare.
“We’ve accumulated a great deal of experience through the members of unevermet, who previously had some experience. Those experiences proved invaluable, and they provided precious advice. This made things much easier, and we feel more confident in what we’re doing,” member kimseongjun shared with .
This eight-member unit debuted this month and premiered “Pretty Boy Swag,” an introductory song for the group, accompanied by the members of unevermet.

When announced as the second sub-unit, they faced considerable pressure following unevermet’s debut.
“The pressure stems from the fact that the members who debuted first had significantly longer training periods and undoubtedly worked very hard. There are areas where they excel, so I worried that we might not meet those expectations. In fact, we wanted to perform even better than the team that was revealed first. The desire to surpass them was significant, which added to the pressure. We also have our own unique connection, and we truly look forward to showcasing it to fans,” leecheongmyeong expressed.
The unique system the group has established to help them stand out in the industry is something the members are excited for fans to engage with in the future.
Voting takes place through the “Gravity” system, on the COSMO app, entrusting the group’s future activities to fans.
“Personally, I think the Gravity system and COSMO are truly a unique initiative in the idol industry. I hope this system doesn’t just end after a short period, but that we truly succeed and leave something positive in the idol industry, like a piece of history. So, I look forward to us becoming a team that creates many positive influences and has a positive impact,” kimseongjun explained.
The ability to perform on stage with the full group and to have more personalities for fans to connect with are what they believe set them apart from smaller groups currently.
While “Pretty Boy Swag” was a collaboration with unevermet, “Yes We Are” is the unit’s official release to introduce their identity to fans.

“Yes We Are” speaks about prioritizing joy over pressure. Instead of worrying about the future, as adults often do, the song encourages enjoying youth while it lasts.
As the second sub-unit of the group, the members of yesweare have observed how the members of unevermet approached their debut, even the way fans reacted to certain aspects of the group.
“We feel more motivated to continue working hard, as we see fans expecting something much greater than what they’ve seen so far. Hearing the fans’ expectations has driven us, and we are striving to meet those expectations,” hanyejoon stated.
The EP featuring five songs by the group marks the beginning of their career and is the next step in idntt’s long-term plan to become one of the largest groups in the industry.
While we don’t yet know the final outcome of the third sub-unit, the members of yesweare look forward to introducing themselves to fans through their debut album, and are excited for fans to continue joining them on this journey.
idntt operates as both a full group and three sub-units, the lineup of which will rotate annually through a “transfer system,” previously seen only in professional sports.
